The answer is yes. But I have to give you a heads up: if you don’t follow the “soft wash” rules, this job will likely cost you expensive repairs.
The safest thing to do is to turn the pressure down ——ideally below 1,500 PSI, and be sure to pair it with that white 40-degree wide-angle fan nozzle. This combination allows the water flow force to be evenly distributed. While it does save you the effort of using a pressure gun to clean up stubborn dirt or flush second-floor windows without having to climb a ladder, you absolutely must not touch that red, 0-degree, straight-line sprinkler. To be honest, that thing is a murder weapon when dealing with glass. At best, it can tear through window screens and break seals, and at worst, it can just dry-shatter the glass. Especially when it comes to double glazing, I usually require the gun to be held at a 45-degree angle and the person to be 3 to 5 feet away. This is done to prevent water from being squeezed hard into the seal, otherwise it won’t be long before your windows are completely ruined due to fogging or mold inside. Finally, remember to use a black soap spray head to spray a layer of special window cleaning liquid, and then flush it out with low pressure. The result will be professional without leaving scratches or causing indoor leaks.

The core logic of safe window washing lies in the “soft wash” technology I just mentioned. This is completely different from washing cement driveways. Glass washing emphasizes a balance, that is, the decomposition ability of chemical agents and the combination of low-pressure flushing. Pressing the device below 1,500 PSI makes water no longer a destructive weapon but a gentle carrier of dirt. This low pressure solution is standard practice in our industry and is the bottom line for preserving the integrity of residential glass.
The most common mistake many do-it-yourself homeowners make is choosing the wrong showerhead. That white 40-degree wide-angle nozzle is your best helper. The water it sprays out spreads out like a fan, significantly reducing the pressure acting on a single point of the glass.
That red 0 degree sprinkler head is an absolute no go by comparison. It would concentrate all the power of the machine into a column of water. Under high pressure, this water column can instantly render ordinary glass useless or leave permanent etching marks on the surface. Moreover, this powerful water flow can tear through the screen as easily as tearing paper, and you will have to spend a lot of money to replace the screen in the end.

Most houses today are equipped with double glazing filled with insulating gas. These windows rely entirely on those few circles of flimsy sealing strips to maintain energy efficiency. So, our top priority when cleaning is protecting these seals.
To prevent water from being forced into the gasket, I have two rules that won’t go away:
Maintain a 45-degree angle: Never dash vertically toward the edge of a window. With a slant, the water will slide over the edge instead of drilling in.
Keep your distance: Leave at least 3 to 5 feet of buffer tape between the gun head and the glass. This space allows the water to naturally lose excess impulse before hitting the glass.
If you don’t pay attention to these details, it is easy to cause “seal failure”. At that time, the water vapor will be locked in the middle of the two layers of glass, the window will become foggy, and even mold will grow in the frame. Then it will have to be removed and reinstalled in one piece.

To achieve that professional effect without leaving water marks, you don’t need to bother brushing. The key is to take two steps:
Step 1: Treatment of the agent
Don’t expect brute force from water alone. Put on that black soap spray head, it can suck out the window cleaning liquid at extremely low pressure. This specialized potion chemically disintegrates bird droppings, pollen, and various environmental deposits.
Step 2: Low Pressure Flush
Wait for the potion to react for a minute or two, then switch back to the white spray head for the final rinse. This step is mainly to take away the dirt and foam that has loosened. Because the pressure is low and the dirt has been potionized, there is no need for you to rush in close, which naturally avoids the embarrassment of water seeping into the house through the window rails.
